South india and Goa Tour (26 Days / 25 Nights)

Day 01: Arrival at Chennai - Kanchipuram
On arriving at Chennai International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed and received by our tour representative who’ll soon transfer you to the hotel for a quick freshening up session. Thereafter, you’ll be taken for a sightseeing tour of Chennai. Major tourist attractions include National Art Gallery, Fort St. George, Marina Beach, St. Mary’s Church, San Thome Cathedral and Mylapore Shiva Temple. Later on, you’ll travel to Kanchipuram and end the day with a check in at the hotel and sleepover.
Day 02: Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram
After an early morning breakfast, a city tour of Kanchipuram will follow. Renowned for its hand-woven silk fabrics, Kanchipuram is considered as one of the seven scared Indian cities. Kailashnath Temple and Ekambareswarar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, are the popular places of interest. Henceforth, you’ll be journeyed to Mahabalipuram. On reaching Mahabalipuram, you’ll be accommodated in the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03: Mahabalipuram
Appease your morning appetite with a delicious breakfast, after which you’ll be taken on a tour of this wonderful city, famously known as the second Pagodas. Tourist sites covered will be the mesmerizing monolithic monuments and stone sculptures. Among the monuments, the most significant ones are the five Rathas, Arjuna’s Penance, Mahishasura Mandapam and Shore Temple. You’ll return to the hotel in the evening to spend the night.
Day 04: Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry
Enjoy a delectable morning meal at the hotel. Soon after, you’ll be driven to Pondicherry. A check-in at the hotel will be followed by a sightseeing tour of Pondicherry. Famous tourist attractions are Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry Museum, Arikamedu, Auroville City, and Pondicherry Beach. Later in the evening, you’ll return to the hotel for night stay.
Day 05: Pondicherry - Tanjore
Post an early morning breakfast, you’ll leave for Tanjore. On arrival, a check in at the hotel will be made. After a short relaxing session, you’ll move out to explore the city. The highly visited and admitted destinations include the 11th century Brihadeshwara Temple and Saraswati Mahal Library, housing an exceptional collection of books and manuscripts over paper and palm leaves. Come back to the hotel for night’s rest.
Day 06: Tanjore - Tiruchirappalli - Madurai
Indulge in an appetizing breakfast. You’ll then head towards Madurai, en-route Tiruchirappalli. At Trichy, the major attractions will be the rock fort, regarded as the landmark of this city. At the top, sits the wonderful Ganesh Temple which attracts hundreds of tourists from all over the world. Another site is Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, beautifully laid with 21 gopurams fortified by seven concentric walls. In the afternoon, you’ll continue our journey to Madurai. Upon arrival, you’ll be accommodated in the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 07: Madurai - Periyar
Satiate your morning hunger with a flavorsome breakfast. This will be followed by a city tour. Major attractions covered will be the 1000 pillared Meenakshi Temple, Thirumalai Nayak Palace and Gandhi Museum. Besides, the special night ceremony performed at the temple will offer you an awesomely enchanting experience. From here, your travel will continue to Periyar. Make a check in at the hotel and call it a day.
Day 08: Periyar - Kumarakom
A sumptuous breakfast will be followed by a tour of one of the world’s most spectacular and mesmerizing wildlife sanctuaries. The national park is home to a large variety of flora and fauna. You can easily spot tigers, elephants, gaur, bison, barking deer, mongoose, foxes, mouse deer and leopards. However, the lion-tailed macaque, Nilgiri langur, common langur, and Bonnet macaque are the primates inhabiting here. For a more thrilling experience, you can enjoy a boat ride Periyar Lake. Also, visits will be made to the spice plantations of cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, coffee and tea estates. At the end of the day, you’ll journey to Kumarakom. When you reach, a check in at the hotel and sleepover will follow up.
Day 09: Kumarakom - Alleppey
Take an early morning breakfast and proceed for a sightseeing tour of Kumarakom, a beautiful little island, lying 16 km off Kottayam. Kumarakom is world famous for its exotic species of migratory birds flocking in from all round the world. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls are the most admired destinations here. At the end of the day, you’ll be driven to Alleppey and accommodated in a hotel to spend the night.
Day 10: Alleppey
A full day tour of Alleppey will follow on after a gorgeous morning meal. You’ll be visiting Vembanad Lake, Pathiramanal, Edathua Church, Alappuzha Beach, and Ambalapuzha Sree Krishna Temple. What’s more, a backwater cruise through the corners of the backwaters will offer you an experience of a lifetime. The day will end with a return back to the hotel. Have dinner and proceed to your room for a comfortable sleep.
Day 11: Alleppey - Kochi
A drive to Kochi will proceed after an early morning breakfast. When you reach, a check in at the hotel will be followed by a magnificent sightseeing tour. Popular tourist attractions include St. Francis Church, Dutch Palace, Chinese fishing nets, Kochi backwaters, Marine Drive, Hill Palace and Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica. In the evening, you’ll attend an interesting performance of the traditional Kathakali dance. Return to the hotel to retreat back with a restful sleep.
Day 12: Kochi - Bangalore
Post an early morning meal, you’ll be transferred to Bangalore via air. On arriving at the Garden City, you’ll be accompanied to the hotel for a check-in. After some rest, you’ll move out for a city tour. The major attractions included in the tour will be Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens, Cubbon Park, Bull Temple and Mysore Arts and Crafts Centre. A stroll through the Vidhan Soudha, a wonderful colonial building comprising of the state legislature and secretariat, will be next. Night stay will be at the hotel.
Day 13: Bangalore - Mysore
An early morning breakfast will be followed by a journey to Mysore. Majestic palaces, heritage buildings, lush green gardens, silk and sandalwood define the city of Mysore. A short halt at Srirangapatna will be made. Srirangapatnam Fort, Tipu’s Summer Palace, Gumbaz, and Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple are the major highlights. Proceed to Mysore thereafter. Arrival will be in the evening. A check in at the hotel will be made, after which a visit to Chamundi Hills will be organized. The Nandi monolith and enormous Mahishasura statue will spellbind you. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 14: Mysore
After a wholesome morning meal, a full day tour will be arranged. Some of the most exciting scenic attractions of Mysore are Maharaja Palace, Jaganmohan Palace and Brindavan Gardens. As the sun sets, you’ll be taken to the Krishna Raja Sagars to enjoy a different atmosphere with musical fountains and colorful lights. Drive back to the hotel for a palatable supper and good night’s sleep.
Day 15: Mysore - Hassan
Revitalize yourself with a tasty breakfast and embark a journey to the next destination in-line, Hassan. A break will be taken at Shravanabelagola, the oldest and the most sacred pilgrimage center for the Jain community. Here, the major attraction is the Gomateshwara, deemed to be the world’s tallest monolithic statue. Henceforth, you’ll proceed to Hassan. Make a check-in at the hotel and jump into your bedding for a comfy sleep.
Day 16: Hassan - Halebid - Belur - Hospet
Refuel yourself with yummy delights for breakfast. Thereafter, gear up for an excursion into some of the wonderful attractions like the Hoysala temples of Halebid and Belur. While the Hoysaleswara Temple at Halebid portrays the Hoysala art and tradition, the Chennakesava Temple at Belur is an archetype of Hoysala architecture. You’ll then be driven to Hospet. Post a quick check-in at the hotel, have dinner and head on for a peaceful sleep.
Day 17: Hospet
After a quick morning meal, you’ll embark a local sightseeing tour of Hospet. The major attractions include the World Heritage Site of Hampi, King’s Palace, Mahanavami Dibba and Queen’s Bath. Queen’s Bath comprises of numerous cultural wonders, with the internal section embraced with arched corridors, balconies and lotus-shaped fountains, being the most fascinating portion. In the evening, come back to the hotel for night stay.
Day 18: Hospet - Hampi - Hospet
Reenergize yourself with a delightful breakfast. Thereafter, your tour with begin with a full day excursion to Hampi. Firstly, you’ll visit Lotus Mahal, comprising of two levels with open pavilions and balconies. This is regarded as a fine example of the architectural marvel fused with both Hindu and Muslim styles, thereby depicting a sensational appealing appearance. Other must visit attractions are Elephant Stables, Hazara Rama Temple and Pushkarini Tank. To spend the night, you’ll come back to the hotel.
Day 19: Hospet - Badami
After a nourishing breakfast, you’ll travel to Badami. Upon arrival, a check in the hotel will be made. Take a short nap and head on to explore the sightseeing destinations. Sited amidst two rocky hills at the mouth of a gorge, Badami Caves is the most popular attractions. Other attractions include Banashankari, the most appealing and quaint hamlet, deriving its name from Goddess Banashankari, another form of Parvati. For night stay, you’ll return to the hotel.
Day 20: Badami
A quick morning breakfast will be had at the hotel. Soon after, you’ll be driven for an excursion to Aihole and Pattadakal. Popularly known as the Cradle of Indian Temple Architecture, Aihole has about 125 temples. Lad Khan Temple, Drug (Fort) Temple, Ravalphadi Cave Temple, Konti Temple Complex, and Jain Meguti Temple are the major temple wonders that you shouldn’t miss. The second destination for the day will be Pattadakal, a World Heritage Center. It presents a set of ten major temples showcasing the early Chalukyan architectural beauty. You’ll be back to the hotel in the evening for overnight stay.
Day 21: Badami - Goa
Take an early morning breakfast and seat yourself comfortably in the cab. You’ll now be driven to the Beach Capital of India, Goa. Upon arrival, make a check in to the hotel. After some rest, you can hang out for various leisurely or recreational activities outside the hotel. Your overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 22: Goa
Post breakfast, you have ample time to explore the beach beauties of Goa. This state, though geographically small, but has some really exciting and mesmerizing beaches that’ll keep you engaged throughout the day. Dinner and night’s rest will be at the hotel.
Day 23: Goa
A traditional Goan breakfast will be served to you at the hotel. Thereafter, you are free to laze out at the beach or explore the city on your own. Scintillating churches, boat cruises, and adventurous beach activities are some popular highlights of Goa. You can also go for shopping souvenirs and knickknacks. Return to the hotel for sleepover.
Day 24: Goa - Mumbai
After morning meal, you’ll be dropped at the airport to catch a flight to Mumbai. Here, you’ll be transferred to the hotel for a check-in and relaxation. The available time can be used for various recreational activities.
Day 25: Mumbai
Gorge on the different delights offered for breakfast. You’ll move out for Mumbai sightseeing tour. An excursion will be made to Elephanta Caves. This will be followed by a half-day city tour of the popular tourist attractions of Mumbai. For night stay, you’ll be driven to the hotel.
Day 26: Mumbai Departure
Have your breakfast and spend the remaining time at leisure. Henceforth, you’ll be accompanied to the airport to board the flight for your onward travel. With this, your South India holiday tour comes to end.
